NHS will not fund your cosmetic surgeries only if it will cure your sleep apnea

Yes they will. I had a consult and my underbite was only 2mm. They even brought up correcting my nose (it's broken) and moving my chin forward jfl at this ignorant bullshit

Although this was in 2018, but I doubt much has changed.

They do bro. But it's a flip of the coin if they will do it with aesthetics improving in mind.

They literally fully fund gender reassignment surgeries for trannymaxxers. I believe it's like £50k for a gender reassigment

But in order for incels to change their jaw and shit, they gotta larp as having sleep apnea and then it's a flip of the coin if the doctor does it with improving your looks in mind

This and it's unlikely they'll even do it for sleep apnoea in most cases, they'll just give you a breathing machine instead.

I mean there’s a chance. Would need to larp as having sa, they wouldn’t have an issue with the cost tbh.my father has probably had the NHS for upwards of 350k.

The main issue is they are retarded af. Doubt they would do it with aesthetics in mind and the U.K. is so far behind other countries maxilio surgery wise. I mean I was recommended the wrong surgery by a NHS maxillo surgeon I asked him why he suggested it and he said the other surgery is not something practiced :lul:

There’s a high chance of you getting cucked by the NHS be careful.

Is there no way you can have a say in which NHS doctor performs the surgery

Cope they were gonna perform it on me and never asked me about sleep apnea top kek stop spreading misinformation brah

Nope. They literally asked me if I had any other aesthetic concerns and brought up my asymmetric chin and broken nose without me hinting at it. So long as you have demonstrable maloclussion you can have jaw surgery. Tbh I'd only use the NHS if you are actually deformed and only need simple movements like a LF1 to correct underbite or BSSO for receded mandible. Anything else and it would likely be brutally over for you

How long was the waiting period for you going to be?

From date of referral, it was about a 3 week wait. When I got there, a bunch of students, a korean plastic surgeon (lol) and an ortho/dentist came in to talk to me about my issues while the students took notes like I was some sort of eldritch abomination, the plastic surgeon noted my unequal facial thirds, as well as my asymmetric chin as well as my flat-ish midface and broken nose. Since this was back when I was 16, my gaslighting mother asked the doctor, "So, it's not that bad, right?" And he turned to me, made a face and said, "Well......" He then specifically asked me if I had any other aesthetic concerns besides the ones I mentioned, and I told him no.

He then discussed the procedure etc and sent me on my way. Had to wait about another month to see an ortho where they took measurements etc, then had to wait another month to get put in braces, but I didn't go to this appointment because I had a mental breakdown over everything going on in my life, fast forward now and I am still stuck with underbite, but it's okay because it wouldn't have ascended me past 4/10 anyway.

I have no idea how long the actual wait time is for the procedure once your teeth are ready for surgery, it probably depends on your area and the surgeries you're having. AFAIK maxfac patients are rare on the NHS as the wait times for appointmetns etc are very good compared to other areas of the NHS. It isn't completely free, as you still have to pay £250 for braces (most of it's covered by the taxpayer).

I think that depends on the surgeons. But most of the time that’s not the case.

That’s not true. I’ve spoken to 2 maxillo nhs surgeons and 3 orthodontist. And they have all told me it can’t be covered even though I have class 2 skeletal deformity and underbite and cross bite.

There’s a set of measurements/guidelines that they have to cover/fill in order to offer you surgery.

Yeah the NHS aren’t very good.

When I had some surgery on the NHS I had to wait 14 months, after my consultation which took about 4 months to get.
They aren’t very fast.

Yeah tbh I can't speak for class 2cels. In my case my teeth and face were fucked which influenced their descision probably. I had asymmetry everywhere, crowded teeth, and ofc class 3 bite. You physically cannot have class 2 and 3 at the same time so idk what you mean.

Unless it's changed in 5 years I was offered multiple surgeries and my underbite isn't that much (something like 1.5-2mm). I've seen pictures of you, but never your teeth. Judging from your face you probably don't need jaw surgery.

@tents lol how does that work, you just walked into the GP and asked for a bimax?

Went to an NHS dentist and asked for a referral for jaw surgery and she sent a letter off to them (it was East Grinstead Hospital).

I guess I’m just not severe enough. Instead I gotta shell out 25k 😥

I guess maybe it’s just a crossbite then?
Idk.

Basically my top teeth on the sides rest inside my bottom teeth (caused by restriction on maxilla during development)

And the top teeth also sit back further than the bottom ones.

I mean from my X-rays it looks like I have both an underbite and crossbite.

I’m at work atm but I’ll dm you my CT scan after basically my teeth are fucked so I need it even if it doesn’t affect appearance.

But to keep it short my maxilla is underdeveloped and recessed and my mandible is deviated.

No I mean my teeth hit each other a few of them I cant touch like my incisors and some of the premolars but most of my teeth make contact with one another but its not natural contact (Idk how to explain tbh but they dont rest on each other like they should I can still hit them together etc.).
