I'll try it. It's all free here in Croatia, so why not experiment, maybe i find something that will make me energetic and productive

So far I've had good experience with benzos and brintellix (improves your cognitive function, I felt like I had eidetic memory while on it)

SSRIs are shit

just went through the list of possible side effects and it made me wonder if I'm taking a medicine or a fucking poison, lmao

we need smart medication, no point in fucking up 15 bodily functions for a small possibility of improving your mood

I used it as additional drug for pain management, as additon to lower opioids doses. It's SNRI so it has strong effect on neurotransmitters and is one of drugs that actually works for depression if that's what you want it for, but bad side is that withdrawals are absolutely and utterly horrid. Extremely uncomfortable and terrible to withstand.
I found a trick to come off it though using tramadol - it also works like SNRI so it can be used to wean, and I came down in 3-4 days on that. But without it, damn, I have no idea how would I do it

So yeah be wary of that

I used another SNRI recently (cymbalta) and it didnt do shit for me. We'll see how this goes. Thanks.

Have you noticed any weight gain (assuming maintaining your lifestyle and eating habits)?

I just need more energy, not exactly depressed in the traditional sense.

stop being a guinea pig for big pharma and inject steroids

No although I never gained weight on any drugs so I can't speak on that effect. However from what I know these SNRIs don't cause weight gain, at least not like older generation drugs

Yes, SNRIs are in fact more likely to cause weight loss, they kill your appetite. It's SSRIs that make you bloated in no time.

Yes. I masturbated on it but it was hard to cum, so I ended up involuntarily edging for hours until I shot the biggest load of my life. It was almost comical and I got cum in my eye. It made my pupils very dilated and I felt like my memory was getting worse, so I tapered off it. It did kill my appetite though, but it made me feel a bit manic.

that goes away after a while. how did it affect your mood, enthusiasm, energy levels throughout the day?

The biggest minus is withdrawal, it's physically unpleasant, with vertigo, nausea, headache, weakness.
Many people get enlarged pupils, lower appetite, harder time to reach orgasms (although, for "rapid shooters" it may be good), excessive sweating.
Positive: it doesn't make you as sleepy as other antidepressants, doesn't make you as anhedonic. In doses up to 100mg, it works mostly as ssri, at higher - norepinephrine kicks in, while serotonin inhibition remains in not so different range, then, at high, over 300mg - it starts acting on dopamine. So, if you are somewhat sleepy from it, higher doses can mitigate that.
BTW, prolonged versions (capsules, taken usually once per day) are much more tolerable and convinient than normal (usually pills, taken multiple times per day) versions.

this is what I need. don't care about orgasms (i know the feeling, sex/masturbation feel like a gym session, lmao) and sweating ATM.

this site has way more sensible and knowledgeable people than i thought, you just need to filter out 15 yo retards and brits.

Bear in mind you can get withdrawal symptoms as soon as 2 days without the drug, always have some as a backup in case of some supply shortage. Good news is - you can temporary use like half dose to combat withdrawal.
About aching balls - it's not surprising, as many other drugs which raise norepinephrine can have an effect on prostate/urination/ejaculation in various ways. I personally had only sort of delayed orgasms, but no other problems in this regard.
Don't expect the drug to act on depression until 4 weeks passed or so. For me it took 5 weeks, and 10 weeks for fully noticeable antidepressant action and improved mood (I had major depression related to physical health problems).
MAOI, despite dietary restrictions and a reputation of being outdated drugs, can help a lot with deeper depression and do it faster, so, don't forget to consider them too.

i think MAOIs can be dangerous so shrinks only prescribe them when absolutely necessary

Yes, they are powerful tool, but their problems are kinda overblown and mostly related to patient noncompliance in dieting and dosage, you know, many people are weak-minded when it comes to their favorite foods and stuff.

I've been on 75 to 150 mg for ~4 years

It dulls all emotions a bit but other than that no long-term net positive effect on depression. Makes it much harder to cum. When you take in the beginning you may have some positive mood lifting effect something kind of like very mild MDMA but tolerance to that develops quickly and it fades away. Withdrawals are brutal.

this sounds like every single one of those scammy "meds" they keep prescribing to people. good to know, i'll lower my expectations to 0. thanks for the input.

Venlafaxine. helped with depression for a while then made things way worse so I came off of it.

Antidepressants seem to be a huge scam, tbh. Only "working" for gullible retards falling for placebo

Benzos and hypnotics do their job, but ssris and snris are garbage

Yeah honestly just fixing my diet, sleep, and life situation made a way bigger difference. I'd just focus on that if I were to go back in time.
