Did you find an orthodontist in your home country and get them to work with the surgeon? Or would you have to go to an orthodontist the surgeon recommends?

Are surgeons picky for orthodontists? It’s better that the surgeon and the orthodontist “speak the same language” (have the same goals, understand each other’s limitations) And of course it’s better if both are in the same location as the patient.
A patient of mine from Germany had to have his orthodontic treatment here because he couldn’t find an orthodontist that would want to work with me (a surgeon they didn’t know and non famous) and didn’t like my plan.
But it isn’t strange for patients to travel for surgery and have their orthodontic treatment at their hometown.
Are surgeons picky for orthodontists?
Lifefuelnormally no, as we can always refuse to operate and say that there is more orthodontic work to do. And we don’t want to piss the ortho off. It’s normally the ortho who is picky for surgeon.
I'm planning on getting surgery abroad and I'd choose whatever orthodontist the surgeon prefers
