Every person I have known that has hated sci-fi (called it stupid, gay, childish, unrealistic etc) and only liked "realistic and gritty" shit (which isn't actually realistic most of the time jfl) has been objectively low IQ. And I don't mean low IQ as in just somebody I think is dumb but like actually legit low IQ (I know this from their general behavior and social status). Every single one of them has also had unlikable personalities (arrogant, narrow-minded etc). I suspect this is because people with low IQ don't have any imagination.

Not that you can't like sci-fi and still be a moron, but I have noticed the correlation between hating sci-fi (not merely not liking it mind you, but actually hating on it) and being low IQ and annoying too often for it to be chance.

Are you sure you don't belong to those with a low IQ?

Its actually the opposite. I can't watch sci fi films because they are childish and stupid with boring plots.
