No, do it if you need it. If you're subhuman and you get botched then who cares? You haven't lost anything. However, if you're already good looking then really weigh up the risks. If you go to a good surgeon, then odds are you'll have a successful surgery. But if a good surgeon has done thousands of surgeries over his career, then it is a statistical inevitability that a few of them were botched.
If you're trying to decide between Ramieri and Alfaro as to who will give the better result, then that's different. Alfaro is very aggressive in his movements so if you are giga-recessed he should give a better result than Ramieri. However, if you only need a more conservative movement then Ramieri will probably preserve harmony better than Alfaro.
