Is the tounge's "tip" really not supposed to be on the pallete or teeth? Really wanna know because I've been mewing for a week.

Since I'm one of the very few ones who takes mewing seriously, here is my take on this:

It almost doesn't matter if the tip is on the roof of the mouth or not, all that matters is that the back of the tongue is engaged.
Tip: if you hardmew, don't focus on the tip of the tongue at all, focus on the posterior third.

The maxilla isn't simply a solid plate that gets evenly pushed out no matter where you press, it's important that you apply pressure evenly, and you can only achieve that by pressing at the very back of the roof of your mouth.

Well, even when I'm doing it hard I don't always feel pressure, but often I do and it's a good indicator that I'm doing it right.
I'm tired of us making babysteps within this conversation, just explain to me in detail how you're mewing in DM and I'll explain to you what you are doing wrong.
Or you know what? Just look up the youtuber astrosky and watch some of his videos, it will take you like 1 minute to get it all.

OP, if you put your tongue on the teeth, you be doing it wrong. that'll push the teeth out and now you have another problem.
the tip of the tongue should ideally be on you know, the tip. not on the front ridges.
however, this doesn't matter that much compared to your posterior third's position, Just get that right and you'll be golden
