yeah im traveling alone a lot even on sick leave (i just came back to europe after winter in asia mostly vietnam thailand and south korea)
basically biggest expense to such asian trip is flight, i was super lucky as i found direct flight from berlin to vietnam for like 110 euro

hmm, interesting. But most times when I go out clubbing, a girl approaches me when i'm alone. It doesn't really happen when i'm together with friends. It's usually when I get lost and stand around like a sperg looking for them. I doubt they keep track if i'm alone or with friends.

I've done a bit of solo travel, it's not too expensive if you plan it out. Going to Korea and staying there for a week probably cost around AUD2-3K all up, incl food activities etc. Just make sure to compare prices on stuff

As an American, it's crazy reading comments like this. A flight to Asia is $2000 on average and maybe $1500 if you get a good deal. A flight to Europe is maybe $1500 and $1150 for a good deal. 110 Euros for intercontinental travel sounds nuts to me. I guess it puts into perspective that stereotype that Americans don't travel much.

its crazy price for europe too, on average one way ticket berlin-bangkok is ~300-400 eur id say and 500-600 eur bangkok-berlin (for some reason its always more expensive coming back to europe) but its considered expensive so people dont buy it if they dont have to
there are promos like every 2-3 months and you can buy return ticket from major eu cities to major asian cities for 400 eur for like a week or 2 and this is what people do for traveling, just waiting for such promo and plan everything around it like schedule holiday leave
