If you're over 15-18% body fat untrained as a man (basically if you can't see or at least FEEL abdominal definition when pushing into your stomach) your SMV drops to the depths of hell.
I say this as a man who went from something like 23 on the BMI scale trained (at 6'3) to 28 as a lazy untrained fatass. As your BMI goes up from fatty tissue, the looks you get from women go down. Or they immediately assume you're disgusting... because you look disgusting.
