my opinion. There is never a good time to have children really. At every age there are drawbacks of different kinds generally. The woman/mothers needs to be before 35 years old though, for health reasons of the child. For a dude, decline in sperm quality only goes really high at around 60. So anything before 60, would be okay-sih for child health reasons.

From a biological standpoint, you are right. Although some people say that sperm quality drops at 45, and it's definitely more difficult to conceive after 40.

I think the biggest risk is social. And I'm not takling about judgement from others or the possiblity that your wife will not be very attracted to you when you are too old (50+). I'm talking about how your kids will perceive you. Generally speaking, I see more people having a low-key resentment against their fathers if they were 50+ when they had them. They will see other kids who have parents who are 20 years younger than their parents and who don't have any health problems and may think they missed out on that. To add, you will be probably dead before you can see your grandsons. This is not a small thing imo.

The positive thing is that you may be rich at this age, have more patience and that you can spend all of your 30s and 40s slaying if you have the looks/status and want to. Maybe it's something for people who never wanted kids but at older age change their mind and are lucky enough to have the possibility to attract a younger woman.

My mom had me accidentally when she was 19. And let me tell you, nothing about this situation mogs in any way. In the past, a man could get a good job and be a good provider even when he was young, and he could have a 20 year old wife to have kids with. But this situation is not quite possible nowadays. Its almost impossible to get a good paying job, and women don't want to settle down at 20 like they used to.

Yes, the 30s are optimal for sure. If you can't do it (no partner, not enough money), that's another thing, but if you can, it's the best time.

60+ is terrible imo, you have to be literally a billionaire to make up for all the drawbacks.

I would say 50 is the last age where it can be good enough. But you have to plan it very good then. For most men, in todays age it maybe optimal around 40, because at that point you should have enough money for the high costs of living and some luxury (vacations) and you can be still in your prime in looks.
