A bad chin to philtrum ratio usually hurts facial harmony more than a terrible eye area. Eyes catch attention right away and can make a big negative impact, but the lower third is the real foundation of the face. It balances the profile, nose, lips, and overall proportions so everything looks even. When the ratio is off, the face can seem too long, weak, or older from any view. A strong chin and jaw can make up for average or even okay eyes and keep the whole face looking balanced. Harmony comes from good overall proportions, and the lower third is the key piece that holds it all together i think.
