Im friend with a muslim girl and her family didnt seem to impose her too many restrictions, her sister even dresses like the opposite her father would wish i guess. I think ive met some muslims with more restrictive families, but being denied to listen to music sounds insane.

My dad not only won't let me keep anything but short hair but also won't let me keep a beard even though every young guy has one.
