Having MSE and braces installed

I'm having MSE (lower and upper) and braces installed to fix crowding and slight overbite. Any tips? Is this the best procedure for aesthetics? How should results look like? How will this affect my aesthetics? How long will it take for results to show? Any input is appreciated.

Roland increased byzygomatic width by half of his expansion but hes old. I think his lip width increased by 75 percent and his nose be 65 but dont quote me on that. By lower Mse do u mean MSDO.

A lower expansion appliance is going to be installed. I'm unsure of medical terminology. Glad lip width will increase, byzygomatic width not so much.

Make sure that you install either a bow or crane reversible headgear. Read the following study by Wom Moon, who invented the MSE procedure and appliance.
Class III treatment by combining facemask (FM) and maxillary skeletal expander (MSE)
You might have to pay to read the study unless you have institutional access. Also, measure your ES ratio to make sure that an increase in bizygomatic width complements your IPD properly. The time frame within which a facemask can provide forward movement and slight CCW rotation is minimal; it is about 4 months maximum after you split the suture. Thus, make sure you have your facemask ready to go and apply as much force as possible and wear for as long you can during that time frame.

If u only want lip width do increase u can just have surgical assist which guarantees a split and doesn’t widen ur bizygomatic. Also if retards theory is correct chew like ur life depends on it for Ipd gain.

I am not having a facemask installed. I am having two orthodontic expansion devices and braves installed as I don't believe I have class III malocclusion. Thank you for this valuable information

I also have to fix my dental issues. Bizygomatic increase may be countered with bigonial increase do you think?

And how do u plan to increase ur bigonial. The mandible has no sutures and ur most likely getting tooth born expansion. If ur getting MSDO all of the width increase will be going to ur chin and u might get marginal mandible width increase.

Chin and small mandible width increase seems great! I have very good chin projection with a sharp chin. I would love that. Thank you for your input.

can you fix overjet with mse?

Slight overbite will fix itself in my case by expanding in lower as it will fix my bite. This is not the usual case so I am unsure. I have consulted a specialist and done xrays.

yeah but my upper are angled outwards can you expand the palate then create space to push them back

That is overjet, yes. I don't believe this can be fixed with MSE, sorry.
