Most people I know have a terrible follower to following ratio and 0 posts but still use it just to keep up with social circle, etc. You need at least some form of social media to be perceived as NT

If people don't perceive you NT, you act weird. Social media won't change that. In fact if you're truly not NT you'll post stupid pics and other shit on social media. My weird ass behaviors were magnified on Facebook when I first made one. It exposed my non NT tendencies and girls would bring that shit up constantly. And I am pretty sure people realized I had weak to no social circle presence since I always tagged others in my pics but few to anyone tagged me in theirs. Not to mention weird ass status updates I made.

Having social media implies some level of social awareness and a desire to fit in, all of which are characteristics of typical NT behaviour. By straying away from this, you're just shooting yourself in the foot by opening yourself up to unnecessary conversations and weird looks. It sucks but we don't make the rules, you can either try to play the game or not play at all.

If you're gl you're more likely to get the benefit of the doubt for this but it still matters because it is viewed as a status symbol. For example, I know a HTN bordering chadlite who only uses Snap but never puts up stories, etc.
