The year is 1990, a baby is born in a Georgian hospital. Like all new born, the baby cries, and cries, and fucking cries. Over all the crying, the nurse informs the mother “The baby is a mostly healthy male”, sadly pre birth complications had created slight impairment of his eyes. In case your wondering, the “complications” were alcohol abuse. The Nurse continues into the question which all mothers are asked, “Whats their name?” To which the mother replied “give me a minute to think, never thought id get this far.” After a few minutes of thinking, the mother had thought up the name Bill. The most painfully boring name possible. Skipping his uneventful formative years, Bill is now in the 5th grade. Put simply, Bill lives a boring life. He does the same thing every day, with the same people, at the same time, with no end goal in mind. Bill has no ambitions, no relationships, no prospects. Simply put, he felt nothing. He finished school with C’s the whole way though, not difficult enough to require motivation but just enough to land him into a pretty decent college. Those C’s would have been B’s, but his eye impairments still affected him. Not that it mattered to him, he was making do. Bill was in the graduating class of 2008, but Bills graduation was far from the talk of the town. The more prominent topic of discussion was the housing crisis which had just began to plague the nation. This crisis had no impacted Bills household, and the apartment Bill and his Mother had lived in his whole life had been repossessed. Being 18, his Mother finally had a chance to rid herself of the kid she never wanted and decided it was time he fend for himself. Not as if he was a burden to her, she barely even raised him. Nonetheless, Bill got his first job at a Walmart to achieve ends meet. Due to the housing issues of the time, Bill decided his only option was to share an apartment with roommates which he got himself through college. Bill had no connection with his roommates, except for their meeting on day one to allocate house chores. Bill once again, passed with his C’s and graduated. Unfortunately this means he no longer had access to the roommate’s system which had kept him afloat for so long. Bill decided to use his IT degree to work for a small law firm. He would fix computers when called, and browse the news in his spare time. Not like he ever read the news, but reading headlines certainly killed time. One boring day, Bill was called down to desk 187 to fix a computer mouse. The woman at the desk greeted him kindly, the first kind greeting Bill had ever received at this job of his. Not knowing exactly how to respond, he failed to reciprocate and stuttered a bit. Amused the woman laughed. Bill put batteries in the mouse, the obvious fix he was a bit surprised she didn’t think of and they exchanged goodbyes. Bill walked away from this exchange with a unique feeling he did not know, nor could he identify the exact stimulus for. From that day on, the woman continually called Bill down to fix things so glaringly obvious it was almost comical. Bill wondered how she had maintained her position in the company with such poor problem solving skills. After a month of this continually happening, and some light small talk the woman asked Bill to grab a coffee after work. Bill was startled, but managed to blurt out a yes to he request. After work that day, they met up at the coffee bar and talked. They talked, and talked, and talked for hours. Bill had never felt this before, it was like the feeling he had felt walking away from her desk for the first time but much more intense. For the first time in his life, Bill wanted something. Bill wanted to maintain this feeling for the rest of his life. Fast forward a few years, Bill and this lady were now married. Bill had been promoted to head of IT and his wife was already making a comfortable salary. Bill and his wife had saved up for a house now, and with enough in savings they decided to have a baby. Things were finally going Bills way, he felt happy. Bill was in love, Bill had good finances, and most importantly Bill had a baby on the way. His wife decided she was going to go shopping one day, and they exchanged goodbyes. His wife died on the way there, she was killed instantly in a car crash. Naturally the baby was also dead. He received a visit later that day, the police knocked on his door. They solemnly informed him of the new. With the words they told him, his reality came crashing down. His wife was dead and his baby never even got to be born. His life was ruined at that moment. All he had ever loved was stripped from him. And for the first time in his life, he felt hate.
Felt like writing a little story, hope you enjoyed.
NO "DNR" PLEASE I WORKED HARD ON THIS, TLDR: hate stems from love, no love=no hate and vise versa
