my aunt was a caregiver and took care of this old Mexican guy who had a terminal illness. She wanted to make his last days worthwhile so she took him to the movies, ate with him and made sure he could go to the mall and stuff.
He confessed his love to my aunt but my aunt rejected him and said “I’m married and you’re sick. we are not meant to be together in this lifetime.” And he got sad and always gave her gifts and flowers.
Finally he died. At his wake, my aunt went there and saw his body in the casket laying there. Everyone else left and she was there alone with him. She blessed him and prayed for him. BUT….suddenly, her necklace came undone and fell to the bottom of his casket underneath his body. And after that, her keys fell into the casket as well. My aunt said it felt “like a magnet was pulling them away from me”. She dug into the casket to retrieve them and left, and felt a “force” still trying to pull at her.
His corpse didn’t want to be alone in the earth.
