Depends on the country. US yeah 6'2 seems to be the optimum, though some studies I've read put it at 6'0-6'1 for dating, with 6'4+ being nichemaxxing. For me 6'3 is the best height, 6'4 if I wanted to be only in the Netherlands or Scandinavia.

There is a study called "The height of choosiness: mutual mate choice for stature results in suboptimal pair formation for both sexes" where they had thousands of women assess the attractiveness of thousands of men based on height during speed dating sessions. As far as I know it's the largest study on female height preferences. I'm preparing an analysis of its results, hopefully it sheds some light into this issue. But based on its results average to 4 inches above average is ideal for dating, with 6+ inches above average just nichemaxxing and male gaze.
