Hey everyone
, I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to post because my situation is somewhat unique. Would love to hear from guys who've gone deep into height maxxing, especially around GH secretagogues, aromatase inhibitors, and training protocols for someone who still has open growth plates.
MY SITUATION :
- Legal age: 18 | Bone age: ~14–15 (confirmed by wrist X-ray a few weeks ago)
- Current height: 172 cm | Target: 180 cm minimum, ideally 185 cm (yes... I know that ambitious)
- 62 kg
- Constitutional growth delay — my endo and GP refuse to prescribe GH ("takes too long," "not indicated", it makes me upset)
- Currently finishing a Accutan (isotretinoin) course: 5 months at 30 mg (then, 3 months break, but sebum reappeared, so I went to a dermatologist who gave me one last time Accutan to reach the recommended medical dose) → 1 month at 40 mg → now at 50 mg (just switched ~1 month ago)
- I'm aware isotretinoin may affect growth, which is why I feel urgency to act while plates are still open
- Goal : maximize height growth AND reduce water retention / facial bloat simultaneously (because I also wanna looksmax). But the Main goal is Heightmaxxing.
PROTOCOL REQUEST :
Given my profile above, what complete protocol would you personally put in place if you were me right now? I'm open to everything - supplements, peptides, secretagogues, lifestyle, training adjustments. Please be specific (doses, timing, combinations). Also open to advices...
SPECIFIC QUESTIONS (boring... so if you want to skip answering, I could understand) :
1. Is MK-677 (ibutamoren) actually effective for height gain when growth plates are still open? What dose do you recommend, and when should I take it? Is there any interference with isotretinoin / Curakne in terms of liver load or otherwise?
2. How does MK-677 compare to Ipamorelin (nasal spray) and CJC-1295 no-DAC in terms of effectiveness for height? Is stacking them worth it, or does one dominate the others? Which combination gives the best IGF-1 response?
3. I've heard that combining MK-677 with an AI could significantly boost height by slowing epiphyseal closure. How true is this? Is this the most powerful stack available for height, and what AI would you use? Does MK alone give decent results or is the AI really necessary?
4. MK-677's water retention is a known downside. Are there ways to mitigate it (e.g. potassium, dandelion root, timing adjustments)? Is there any GH-boosting compound with similar IGF-1 upside but less bloat?
5. For someone still growing, is there a meaningful trade-off between training for skeletal width (e.g. wide grip pull-ups for lat/clavicle development) and maximizing height? What does the looksmax community generally recommend in terms of training frequency, exercise selection, and loading for someone prioritizing vertical growth?
6. Which of the following are safe to continue on isotretinoin: zinc (25 mg), magnesium glycinate, vitamin D3 + K2, creatine, ashwagandha? Any that should be avoided? I'm currently taking D3 25 µg + K2 45 µg — is that enough to support growth, or should I dose higher?
7.Raw milk vs. pasteurized : does it make a real difference for growth? Full-fat vs. semi-skimmed? How much dairy per day would you target? Any other dietary levers worth pulling?

- Zinc 25 mg (morning, without food)
- Magnesium glycinate (before going to bed)
- Vitamin D3 25 µg + K2 45 µg (morning without food, I take 12 pills)
- Creatine 5 g/day
- Dandelion root (for bloat)
- Potassium citrate
- Hydration: ~3 L/day
- Training (hard): 5x/week (questioning myself about training... bad or good for growth)
