I was talking to this uni fresher (first year student) in a society meetup, who was several inches taller than me, significantly more muscular, more developed face, and even IQ/knowledge mogged me :lul:

For the entire conversation, he was essentially in the position of power, and to an extent I put myself in the submissive position cause I knew my place and how could I do so otherwise when I'm having to look up at this guy?

Like how tf am I meant to step up to be the older and wiser person in this situation when he 100% has more life experience than I do?

Yes, in college looks matter the most. Everyone's in a new social hierarchy. So status isn't as entrenched. Everyone's living off student loans. So money doesn't matter. It's looks, height, racial preference, physique, penis size.

When you leave college status become so much more important. It's extremely hard to socialize once you graduate. So the people who do have status and are successfully maxxing it out have a huge advantage.

As an adult your status becomes intertwined with how much money you make and what type of lifestyle you have and can provide to a partner. A low stress white collar worker making $50k a year is ahead of the high stress blue collar worker making $80k. You need to be able maintain a social life while still making a decent amount of money. You need low stress to prevent looksminning as well.

Having a white collar job shows you have the requisite soft social skills to exist in a premium job without having to slave away as a laborer.

The trades and STEM degrees are hard skills that are extremely useful and should be valued more. But networking and social posture is honestly the most important thing for survival nowadays.

Being a hard worker means you're a sucker and loser. You'll be exploited and abused at your job, not rewarded or promoted.
