I'm using Linux in virtualbox, with LUKS FDE on. I keep it updated constantly too what else can I do saars. I don't want to be haxxord.

Don't use windows host just install grub and the linux system on different hard drive. Or depending what you're doing just use qubes or tales, maybe even try bsd
