I currently have traditional braces and my ortho gave me class 2 overbite elastics, and an acrylic bite plane (see attached). The acrylic bite plane sits on the roof of my mouth, which prevents proper tongue posture. Will this cause my recess my maxilla. I feel like my orthodontist only cares about correcting my bite and not my facial aesthetics.
