I apply castor oil a couple times a week before washing it and I always like the look and texture better afterwards.

I just take like a few cl on the palm of my hands and massage it in starting near the scalp and make sure it gets like everywhere. Then I leave it in for like 30 mins and wash it off with shampoo. I also put it on eyebrows and lashes sometimes.

whats cl?

so u just work from the scalp to the roots right?
also does brand / quality matter or are most castor oils the same?
i found a litre of it on amazon for 10 euro but im not sure if it might just be bad/low quality n might not be good for my hair

I also put it on eyebrows and lashes sometimes.
does it do anything?
or do u just put it on to like refreshen the hairs there?

Cl=centiliter (1/100 of a liter)

Yeah, just make sure you gently massage it all over. The roots are most important, so start from the base and work your way out towards the ends. I got mine at the pharmacy but I'm sure there's good brands on Amazon too. Just make sure to read the reviews to make sure it's from a reputable source.

It's actually been shown to increase/speed up hair growth, so thicker eyebrows/longer eyelashes can be achieved through consistent application of the stuff!

castor oil for hair growth and hairline

argan oil for heat protection, softness and healthy hair
after using argan oil and learning how to style my hair, I got a reputation for having "cool hair"

do u apply the argan oil like @Eriot Lodger said about castor?
do u wash it off or do u leave it in?

You want to get wavy hair or take care of it? Theres shampoo made for waves and curls. And you can use sea salt spray and blow dry it slightly to get wavier hair maybe

Idk but i have mostly straight semi-wavy hair and i think it has to do with how it effects the oils? I think less oily hair is lighter and more free to curl up and such but tbh i have no clue ive never looked into it

well, argan oil washes off easily compared to other oils and serves as protection

what I do is I comb my hair into a middle part when it's wet then apply argan oil while it dries
I use a blow-dryer sometimes too

this is the end result (ignore the caption jfl)

thats interesting, ive read the opposite tbh
idk remember where but ik some ppl said that the oils are actually one of the reasons why hair actually curls up but i might be wrong.

but icl i'd rather have a little less curls but have that smooth n light hair after a good wash

sick hair bro
btw when u mean protection u mean from heat like blow dryers n that?
does it have any other effects bcs i dont use that so it'd be a waste of time+money tbh

but what could be different?
they r both shampoos idk how one could cater to wavy/curly hair and one to straight, they both do the same thing, no?

from any type of heat
but that isn't the function of it.
it's to soften and strengthen the hair and it definitely mogs other oils imo (from someone whose tried alot of different oils)

it's inexpensive too and you shouldn't use alot of it at a time

perhaps the ingredients are slightly different
I used a shampoo which had keratin in it and it made my hair very flat and straight
I'd like to try a wavy hair shampoo

bro i js had an ingenious idea
have u ever tried coconut oil? i was looking on the internet and saw that its actually a decent oil for hair, supposedly does the same thing as the other oils right?
BUT COCONUT OIL IS A NATURAL DHT BLOCKER

dont ppl bald because their hair gets exposed to dht?????
so if u put coconut oil in ur hair to get it that silky texture wouldnt it get absorbed, a dht blocker getting absorbed by ur hair?
gives u a nice texture + helps against balding?
tell me why that wouldnt work tbh

that's interesting

I have tried coconut oil a while ago, but unfortunately it was the one I liked the least
it was way to thick and greasy, and sometimes it doesn't wash out completely even with shampoo. the smell is not ideal too

my favourites are olive oil and argan oil but I will look into a better brand of coconut oil since you said it blocks dht

I just put a few drops on my index finger and brush them very carefully. It's OK if some comes on the skin though, so just make sure it doesn't get in the eye.

i remember u mentioning ur still in puberty, right?
i'd say dont try using coconut oil since u dont want to block dht, wait til u have finished growing
also olive oil? is any refined? extra virgin?
ive got a shit ton of extra virgin and if its ur fav alongside argan its gotta be on par right?

Apparently it's thought to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and moisturizing properties, so applying it to the skin might even be beneficial. I haven't tried that yet myself though.

okay, I'll do that after puberty

with regards to olive oil, I just bought some random olive oil from a hairdresser but extra virgin should be fine
I think argan oil is somewhat better but I'd recommend you use argan oil during the day (for styling) and apply olive oil an hour before washing your hair like 2 times a week

i think ill get the castor oil and try that first since i can wash it off,
my hairs shoulder length so ion think i can style it so argan oil would be p useless for me tbh

No, I just use the castor oil. Do you have a recommendation for carrier oils?
no i was hoping u would know whats a good carrier oil
one could assume olive oil or coconut oil but both are comedogenic so not sure
my castor oil will arrive next week so i can experiment with olive oil and report back to u since i dont really mind acne (y)

She’s kinda funny she said to me she didn’t feel comfortable rating other guys because she’s in a committed relationship and then goes ahead and say at the same time I’m objectively handsome

Either way I appreciate it ✊🏾

It's curly hair

I add product while it's soaking wet, then plop it for 15 - 20 min. After that I'll either let it airdry, or if it's the night and I wanna go to bed I'll hit it with the diffuser

I use coconut oil on my hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows, with results in the former two but not the latter (will probably need minox for brows). Along with argan oil and peppermint oil, it seems to be legit.

As for balding, I'm not at a position to make any remarks or conclusions. Balding isn't in my rice genes anyway.
