I’ve struggled with acne for around 4 years now, and while I’ve tried various treatments (including accutane and doxycycline), I haven’t found a long-term solution and I still suffer from breakouts. I believe it is an internal problem within my body. I do also suffer from cystic fibrosis, which I believe could be influencing my acne through potential impacts on liver and gut health, or possibly malabsorption. I also tried a whole foods diet for 4 months, which was gluten and diary free (pretty much just 95% wholefoods) but still during this time I was struggling from breakouts. any help or advice is much appreciated, anything helps.

You should just contact a esthetician, cuz unlike dermatologists they actually care about your skin and won’t lie to you for more money

what do they typically do for treatment

This is heavy acne. Try to contact derm only. Accutane or tret may help depending on your skin. For me, initially accutane worked but later shifted to tretinoin from skinorac as it was becoming harsh for my skin and it was good
