Herbst appliance + Palate expander?

Going to ortho soon and going to try to get both of these ASAP, but wondering if the Herbst appliance can significantly recess my maxilla because I'm hoping to get it for my overbite and to push more forward growth. My face is narrow and i have trouble breathing with proper tongue posture and I think the ortho will give me a palate expander for breathing, which will obviously help with my narrow palate.

I don't think the Herbst appliance would necessarily recess ur maxilla, but might restrain it from growing forwardly since it applies a backward force on it.
Keep me updated on your results. I'm very curious.
