Here's how I take Avodart as a vegetarian

I don't wanna be consuming cow cartilage (gelatine), so I do this:

1. Buy cellulose capsules from Amazon
2. Take your Avodart capsule and pierce a hole on one end with a pin
3. Squeeze the contents into the cellulose capsule. Leave the lid off
4. Tilt head back, place cellulose capsule upright on back of tongue, with the open end facing up
5. Keep your head tilted, take a swig of water and swallow quickly
