Here’s why hunter eyes are attractive (imo)

Yellow, blue, green or any shade in between eyes remind us of animals that are predators and can hunt and survive.

Dark, round eyes remind us of prey. That makes any resemblance unattractive in humans (humans are predators).

Another (primal) reason why eyes with lighter color are better is because they see better in the dark. Better night vision = higher survival rate. “Lighter eyes, such as blue or green eyes, have less pigment in the iris, which leaves the iris more translucent and lets more light into the eye. This means that light-eyed people tend to have slightly better night vision than dark-eyed people.”
