If you have autism but it isn't evident externally, this can actually be way more difficult to deal with especially socially, compared to autism that is more severe or down syndrome. People with obvious disabilities are generally treated with compassion and kindness and not even a chad can get away with bullying someone with down syndrome. With hidden disabilities like high functioning autism, this can actually be excruciating when it comes to every day life. People expect more from you and can also sense the vulnerability in you through your timid demeanor and actions. It's a very miserable, painful existence and wouldn't wish it in my worst enemies. Jobs will be awfully painful and nobody will show a shed of compassion towards you as they think you are as capable as any other average joe.
