most low carb / keto studies have shown an insignificant gain in muscle mass

i'm trying to convince my parents to give me a kilo of meat a day but they say muh it's too much,I came to the conclusion that anything less than a kilo on carnivore is malnutritionmost people who go keto end up eating way fewer calories because of the satiety increase
if you eat the same amount of calories keto isnt too far behind in terms of hypertrophy but you will LOOK flatter and smaller because you wont have the glycogen and accompanying water in the muscle tissue
that said go carnivore and just eat honey or milk if you really want to use carbs to gain weight faster
nah you can live on a pound of red meat, occasional liver, some fat here and therei'm trying to convince my parents to give me a kilo of meat a day but they say muh it's too much,I came to the conclusion that anything less than a kilo on carnivore is malnutrition
sometimes I get really hungry and I don’t have any more meat, but there’s a ton of the most diverse types of carb, it’s hardnah you can live on a pound of red meat, occasional liver, some fat here and there
dont worry about malnutrition on carni lmao trust
why?elab more pls I've heard rumors that carnivore sensibilize T receptors and even with lower levels you have much more responsealso testosterone gets lower with those diets

Diet-hormone interactions: protein/carbohydrate ratio alters reciprocally the plasma levels of testosterone and cortisol and their respective binding globulins in man - PubMed
The aim of this study was to determine if a change in protein/carbohydrate ratio influences plasma steroid hormone concentrations. There is little information about the effects of specific dietary components on steroid hormone metabolism in humans. Testosterone concentrations in seven normal men...pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Testosterone concentrations in seven normal men were consistently higher after ten days on a high carbohydrate diet (468 +/- 34 ng/dl, mean +/- S.E.) than during a high protein diet (371 +/- 23 ng/dl, p less than 0.05)
In conclusion, the principal finding of this study was that intake of 100 g of carbohydrates after resistance exercise improved muscle net protein balance, but the improvement was only minor compared with the reported effect of intake of amino acids. We conclude that intake of carbohydrates alone after resistance exercise will modestly improve the anabolic effect of exercise. However, amino acid intake is necessary for a maximal response.

You will need to cycle it though, your body gets used to the amount of carbs you consume, fasting 2-3 times a year for 3 days can have a lot of benefits in this regard

Its kinda hard to do that with muscle building, and it has been the gold standard for years with lifting as well>n=7
>ten days
lmao what a study
nutritional science is 99% bunk, just self experiment
fuckLow carbohydrate diets suppress thyroid by reducing the conversion of inactive thyroid hormone to active. You can eat all the cholesterol or saturated fat you want but if you don't have enough glucose you won't be converting all of that cholesterol into pregnenolone - the precursor to progesterone, dhea, testosterone etc.
Protein supplements then.i'm trying to convince my parents to give me a kilo of meat a day but they say muh it's too much,I came to the conclusion that anything less than a kilo on carnivore is malnutrition
