most low carb / keto studies have shown an insignificant gain in muscle mass

Just eat bread all day bro

most people who go keto end up eating way fewer calories because of the satiety increase

if you eat the same amount of calories keto isnt too far behind in terms of hypertrophy but you will LOOK flatter and smaller because you wont have the glycogen and accompanying water in the muscle tissue

that said go carnivore and just eat honey or milk if you really want to use carbs to gain weight faster

i'm trying to convince my parents to give me a kilo of meat a day but they say muh it's too much,I came to the conclusion that anything less than a kilo on carnivore is malnutrition

sometimes I get really hungry and I don’t have any more meat, but there’s a ton of the most diverse types of carb, it’s hard

no, low carb and keto is useful for fat loss and minimizing muscle loss and perhaps resting your insulin resistance
but not so much for gaining muscle, also testosterone gets lower with those diets

also testosterone gets lower with those diets
why?elab more pls I've heard rumors that carnivore sensibilize T receptors and even with lower levels you have much more response

Testosterone concentrations in seven normal men were consistently higher after ten days on a high carbohydrate diet (468 +/- 34 ng/dl, mean +/- S.E.) than during a high protein diet (371 +/- 23 ng/dl, p less than 0.05)

In conclusion, the principal finding of this study was that intake of 100 g of carbohydrates after resistance exercise improved muscle net protein balance, but the improvement was only minor compared with the reported effect of intake of amino acids. We conclude that intake of carbohydrates alone after resistance exercise will modestly improve the anabolic effect of exercise. However, amino acid intake is necessary for a maximal response.

You will need to cycle it though, your body gets used to the amount of carbs you consume, fasting 2-3 times a year for 3 days can have a lot of benefits in this regard

holy fuck raw milk strikes again

Yes it is, I wasn't success with gaining muscle on low-carb diet, but when I started using a lot of carbs I began gaining muscle

Low carbohydrate diets suppress thyroid by reducing the conversion of inactive thyroid hormone to active. You can eat all the cholesterol or saturated fat you want but if you don't have enough glucose you won't be converting all of that cholesterol into pregnenolone - the precursor to progesterone, dhea, testosterone etc.

>n=7
>ten days

lmao what a study

nutritional science is 99% bunk, just self experiment

Its kinda hard to do that with muscle building, and it has been the gold standard for years with lifting as well
