High IQ users, Would Bimax be worth it if your mandible is developed but maxilla is flat/recessed?

No underbite and no malocclusion. I have a reverse curve of spee basically my upper jaw is “dragged” backwards and flat.

Mandible and chin are fine and projected.

Dr. Pagnoni told me my maxilla is recessed and basically a bimax would correct it.

But is a 3-4mm lefort 1 even worth it? Wouldn’t be better to just focus on lips and maybe get infras? Is that little bit of projection worth it in most cases or is better to just find ways to camouflage?

i’m going in for surgery in summer. i have a class 3 malocclusion (underbite strong mandible recessed maxilla) and my surgeon only wants to do 3mm maxillary advancement and correct the rest with CW rotation… i’m not happy and i’m trying to convince to do 4.5-6mm advancement and less rotation, advising you do similar

What surgeon? I agree that’s a bad idea. Surgeons shouldn’t be fucking too much with a ln already good mandible unless they’re bringing forward a bit
