I’m almost 17 years old. I always thought i had low test symptoms, infact, i did a blood test to check my total and free testosterone. To my surprise, total testosterone was 850ng/dl and free testosterone was on the upper end of the range.
The only last cause of my symptoms (childish face, almost no body hairs and facial hairs except in my pubic area, also very calm and quiet, never aggressive, but big and droopy testicles, decent muscle mass and taller than what i should’ve been) is low DHT.
Now, both the males of the family of my dad and my mom definitely don’t have those symptoms, atleast in their adulthood. The only reason is low 5a-reductase, but i can’t explain why it should be low.
I think i have a good diet, supplementing with boron, zinc, magnesium, vitamin D during winter. I also lift 4x/week with high intensity.
Can the activity of the enzyme that converts test to DHT just be age-related? Although it’s starting to get late in puberty
(i attached the blood test)
