Shimla and Kullu/Manali are god tier places, I went there decades ago
I did read that a lot of bimarus have immigrated there and it's not the same anymore, I'll go there in a few years' time and see for myself
if you ever go to Shimla, stay at Willow Banks. It's the best hotel and the view is great, very comfy furnishings. Great restaurant too.
