By GoW III kratos killed every God and destroyed the world so there was nowhere for the series to go with the spectacle creep

They could've either rinse and repeat with new settings or gone the reboot route like CoD

What they ended up with was kinda mid but not the worst option ever. They basically copied trends like parental escort mission games(TloU, Bioshock infinite, telltale TWD) and dark souls. The series should've probably ended but it's not the worst thing they could've done
