@PrinceLuenLeoncur I heard this one stretches to any governmental body/institution higher than you? Some video autoclaved in the background while I was drinking too so I don't know the source but he claims that God himself has placed such rulers to govern you, therefore you must obey them.

The verse continues to say

"And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."

Thoughts?

There is some truth to this, but this is more to prevent rebellions that can destabilise society and lead to civilians being hurt.

When government demands go against the teachings of Christ, Christianity supports “civil disobedience.” For example, the early Christian martyrs, including many Orthodox saints, chose to defy unjust laws rather than renounce their faith, often paying with their lives. The Church thus recognizes a duty to resist when government authorities act in ways that violate divine law.

Christianity is inheritable monarchical, even the trinity is a Monarchy in the truest ancient beliefs which western Christianity has wiped away whilst the east still hold the monarchical Trinidadian doctrine of the father.

Respect authority as part of the created order, as long as this does not lead to sin.

2. Pray for leaders to act justly and in accordance with God’s will (as seen in the Church’s liturgies).

3. Resist peacefully when laws or commands are morally unacceptable, such as through non-violent disobedience or standing firm in faith in the face of persecution.

Christian view values respect for governmental authority, it firmly upholds the primacy of obedience to God. If leaders are corrupt or demand actions contrary to Christian teaching, Christian’s are encouraged to maintain their loyalty to God’s law, even if it requires suffering or peaceful resistance.

Oral tradition. Most of this stuff was memorised orally and then spoken and overtime it was written down.

Some prophets like Enoch and Moses were told the history of human kind before their time by the Lord himself and he orally transcribed it and wrote it down.

Look up the Mishnah it’s the Jewish oral tradition also known as the oral Torah
@moodless

People would memorise the Illiad orally and transcribe like bards. That’s why Protestants are retarded for they ignore tradition as a whole and act as if the bible just fell from the sky into their laps even though there’s things in Christianity that aren’t in the bible that we ought to conduct such as how we pray for example which is why protescucks usually don’t know how to pray

The bible itself isn't one connected book, it's a compilation of texts and accounts.

As to why it gained popularity, it gives people faith through hardship and establishes a sort of moral code.

Got famous and popular due to it being the word of God. And an history of humanity it answers many things has poems, history, Parable's

Honestly there’s no book like it. There’s a reason it’s the most studied book in human hsitory
