I'd rather have a slightly wide ES ratio than slightly narrow. You can actually address it by adding width to your face. Narrow ES ratio gives you far less room to improve.

Also, OP's ratio prolly does not look that bad IRL. Distortion is working against him here.

If it is very very bad then I agree. But you can get away with a poor ES ratio sometimes.

For example, zac efron and ian somerhalder have bad ES ratios:

Though they don't have bad spacing just wide faces which makes their ES ratio very low. Zayn malik is another dude with bad ES ratio as well but still looks harmonious.

Intercanthal distance, eyebrows, nose bridge definition and even skull shape influence how we perceive someone's eye spacing.
