cortisol is a hormone, everyone has it. it's essential to our well being. too much is bad of course. It'll have a bad effect on your skin yes. Ashwaghanda and Meditation should help.

Keeping cortisol low is a personal thing. I can only give you so much advise, you just have to fine tune your personal life.

I was thinking about taking antidepressants because I‘m not far away from roping. But I‘m afraid because of all the side effects.

tried ashwaghanda already

Don't take medical advice from a bunch of idiots on the internet. People on here aren't doctors and if they are they would know that its beyond unethical for them to give specific advice like this.
Talk to your doctor and see what they recommend.
At the end of the day, do high cortisol levels inhibit collagen formation? Yes. But having the skin of a fucking newborn is pointless if you're not alive to enjoy it.

Nasolabial folds are the easiest to fix failo. Just get fillers or botox. Cheap and instant results.

More likely its just the fact that your face moves- just like every other human being.
But your nasolabial folds really aren't significant, if they're causing you the amount of emotional distress that they clearly are then thats something to talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist about- your skin isn't the issue here.

Well get those injections that dissolve fillers and try botox instead. Or maybe look for a face lift. I don't know it is a fixable failo so just try something else.

I‘m only 20 and my nasolabial folds are not prominent enough for a facelift.
I will maybe see a surgeon and ask him about it. The lump could be go away with an injection of hylase, but that can also break down your own hyaluron

Bro i just saw your other pics and your nasolabial folds are fine. Mine are worse and no one has ever even mentioned then to me here when i asked for a rating. The real problem is your philtrum so look into getting a lip lift as well as growing a beard to hide your philtrum. You aren't focusing on the real failos on your face.

Yes, my skin is also giving me the stress.
It started all with an big accident in my family, which made me cry for 2 months everyday. That made me look old as fuck with huge nasolabial folds.
Now they are much better than then, but my skin is still far away from how it was before the stress.

Can you maybe show me yours in pm?

yeah, I‘m about to grow a beard. That will still take some time. If it doesn‘t cover it up, I will look into doing a lip lift

This is the real issue here. Not your skin or your nasolabial folds. You said yourself that there is a possibility that you have BDD- even if you had the "perfect" nasolabial folds and skin to everyone else, you would never share that opinion. Get professional psychological help man, being on here isn't helping you.

Yeah, I will do this.
But in some lightning my skin looks really bad for me and if hide my folds with fingers, I look much better in my opinion.
If I compare pics to my old skin, I see a big difference
Here an example. Before and now.
It‘s the same almost the lightning , first pic 4 february 2018 and second one from today

For me, the folds looks worse here.
And also the skin itself, larger pores and more uneven.

The second picture has better quality so I cannot tell you anything accurately.

I do think your folds look less noticeable now.

Do you think you've lost body fat since back then by chance?

No, they got much worse 2 years ago after stress and then I tried everything to get rid of them.
Look, this is how they look liked after the stress and crying

This one differes from the other "after picture".

Bro listen plz. No amount of crying for 2 months is gonna give you nasolabial folds by themselves.

I don't know what your life is like to have an opinion on how your cortisol is affecting you... If you have high levels try to address it and have one less problem.

Now, I have a nasolabial fold like you and sometimes even tear through, the deepness mostly fluctuates depending on the position I sleep. It happens i always sleep on that side jfl...

Have you had any change done to your maxilla by braces or smth?

What filler did you try and where was it injected?

If you have the money I'd give a try to microinjections of Hyaluronic Acid and see if you have an improvement to this area... But that's if you have money that you don't mind using, I'm completely unaware of the results it'd have on you...

Well going back to what i was saying... I used to chew only in one side, and things like that. I ended up realizing i have less volume and muscles in that area because of those things in combination to less collagen thus giving place to nasolabial fold.

I know it‘s hard to belive but it happened due to crying. And it happened already after a couple days. It was just worst after 2 months.
It was a combination of crying and brutal stress cause my little sister died suddenly.

and yeah I had braces for 4 years but this improved my look and didn‘t give me the nl folds.

And now I show you what the stress literally did to my face.

I show you my whole face. (i know my philtrumis bad but I will fix it soon)

first two pics, january 24, 2018
Second two pics, march 6 2018 ( 4weeks after my sister died)

It’s almost the same lightning, first ones were taken in my room with lightning from above and second one were taken in the car with lightning from the side.

now you understand how i must feel.

And I had a Restylane filler. It was injected in the folds , but it didn‘t do anything expect of giving me a hard lump under my skin which is still there and bothering me. (Not noticeable but I tend to touch it always)

I am very sorry for your loss but this isn't a good place if you are going through rough times, the negativity can impact you.
Comparing those old photos to the ones you posted recently I can see that your labial fold improved, can't see them anymore. Are the tear through still there?
