How bad is doxycyclin (antibiotic) for the body

Got bacterial pneumonia and have to take this antibiotic. I had to take 2 today, and will take 1 everyday for the next 6 days
ive heard antibiotics arent really good for you and ive avoided them alot, but this is the first time since childhood ive taken antibiotics.
Which bad effects does doxycyclin have on the body? anything i should specifically eat while on it? And will my microbiome recover?

Was on doxy twice for acne, brang upon some nausea especially when i took in morning, or on empty stomach. No really bad effects on the body tho.

As far as guy microbiome concern, if your prioritizing that I recommend yoi try something else, as antibiotics are the last thing u wanna consume if thats a priority.

Never going on antibiotics ever again. Your gut recovers tho.

it did help, took longer than i would of wanted though. skin eventually cleared up.

course was 3 months taking twice a day
