GrapheneOS is an open-source, privacy- and security-focused mobile operating system built upon the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). It offers several advantages over Apple's iOS, particularly for users who prioritize control over their data and device security. Key benefits of using GrapheneOS include:
Enhanced Privacy Controls
  • Minimal Data Collection: GrapheneOS is designed to operate without reliance on Google services, thereby reducing data shared with third parties. In contrast, studies have shown that iPhones can transmit significant amounts of data to Apple and Google servers daily.

  • Granular App Permissions: Users can manage app permissions in detail, including network access and sensor usage, ensuring apps access only necessary data.

Advanced Security Features
  • Hardened Operating System: GrapheneOS incorporates enhanced security measures, such as a hardened kernel and memory allocator, to protect against various vulnerabilities.

  • Sandboxed Google Play Services: If users choose to install Google Play Services, GrapheneOS runs them in a sandboxed environment, limiting their access to user data and system resources.

User Autonomy
  • Open-Source Transparency: Being open-source, GrapheneOS allows users and developers to inspect its code, fostering trust and enabling independent security audits.

  • Freedom from Proprietary Ecosystems: Unlike iOS, which is tightly integrated with Apple's ecosystem, GrapheneOS provides users the flexibility to choose their preferred applications and services without mandatory ties to a specific provider.

Regular Security Updates
Timely Patches
: GrapheneOS maintains close alignment with upstream Android developments, often delivering security updates promptly, sometimes even before the stock OS.

When I had a pixel I got zero iois, I then got a Samsung and I constantly get iois.

(The constantly statement is hyperbole)

Wtf failo:lul::lul::lul:

I have a Pixel and it works great. Never really consider getting a custom rom, as I'm satisfied with the clean OS itself.

Camera wise is great, just sometimes it can heat up at times, which hinders photos from backing up and reduces camera quality.

Get the 7 and above, avoid 6 series as they are shit

What iphone and what pixel, imo if i could get my hands on a pixel I'd definitely get it, as a privacycel, cybersecuritycel id say its worth it if thats all you care about.
