my first post
14M. I have an underbite, aka class 3 maloccclusion or a reverse overjet (4mm). I have had it for the majority of my life.
i recently realised that my side profile is genuinely death tier, concave and flat and have been looking for methods on how to achieve maxilliary forward growth, specifically that as it affects all the other major bones in the face. i dont necessarily care for mandibular forward growth as my mandible is very well developed.
i dont understand how people in general say that im ltn, im sub4, lltn at best, i have flat cheekbones, recessed maxilla and possibly tilted maxilla or mandible aswell as off centre teeth.
ive been researching ways on how i can atleast achieve better maxillary projection and from what ive seen there are only dentoalveolar and surgical methods of reliably achieving it. my friends have recommended me mewing and thumbpulling, jfl bro, thats straight cope, mewing isn't realistically doing shi to my maxilla and id have to thumbpull for all of eternity to achieve the maxilliary growth i could have gotten through dentoalveolar methods. my dentist once suggested LF1 which i like the idea of but because im 14 i would have to wait at least 4 more years helplessly as a sub4. i fucking hate that. i dont want to have to wait for help. isn't there anything i can do to help myself?
i like the idea of nonsurgical methods as i wouldnt have to wait for yrs and i could start treatment now, hopefully saving me before its too late. i'm considering rme + facemask or bamp. i live in the uk and my family are like lower middle classso im tryna get free treatment via nhs.
what should i do? should i wait till surgery for lf1 or bimax or should i js go nonsurgical?
