How can i fix my overbite ?

I have a severe overbite, and my jaw when i bite down looks recessed but when i fraud bite aka by bringing my jaw forward to where it’s supposed to be my jaw looks so much better , but my molars dont touch , rather they’re significantly far away from each other . I started with a myofunctional orthotropic bite corrector and was supposed to get braces but i fear that getting braces to fix my teeth won’t work and i was told by my dentist that i needed surgery to fix my jaw which I’m willing to undergo , but what I’m worried about is the possibility that this surgery ruins my maxillar forward growth as my maxillar bone will be adjusted along with my mandible . Any help will be greatly appreciated

bimax tbh, you need your lower to align with upper, it alright if they recess your maxila a tiny bit but makes sure its not a huge
