i’ve had tmj for a while now (atleast like 4 years) i have no clue how i got it but from what i know it makes u look uglier and it fucking cooks me by causing assymetries. so i just wanna know how i can fix my tmj permanently.

I think a doctor would be something to go for first

it can be caused by downward growth, the jaw can’t close all the way and the mandible bone sits farther back in the TMJ joint. if that’s the case, you can try and use jordan woods methods (they seem like cope but he got good results so who knows) until you can afford bimax which would probably be able to be partially covered by insurance. good luck!

i don’t think that’s the case in this situation. i heard tmj could be caused by grinding at night and i do tend to grind at night but thats only a theory.

when i had braces i pointed out to my orthodontist that i have a clicking noise when i open my jaw, and all he said was as long as its not hurting then you shouldn’t worry about it.

you have slight downward growth, nothing severe but it could cause some tmj on one side. have you been hard mewing? it causes an imbalance in tongue to masseter strength ratio and can also cause tmj

downward growth can exist with good forward growth, look how your jaw is almost like an s shape, the chin is not in line with the ramus

i think it looks like that becuase my chin is recessed, and from what i heard my mandible is also very slightly recessed.
