Prove self defence / him being a reasonable threat that had to be dealt with. Explain that you couldn’t wait for the cops because it would take too long and by then you would of been harmed.

prove that and you have your meal ticket to salvation.

Edit: bullying can count as harassment I’m pretty sure. Use that in your defence

I'm not sure where you are, but in the US I know if someone takes more than 1 swing at you that is felony battery.

If you fight back after that the courts will be much more likely to see that as self defense. Even if you totally rekt him.
