You probably have an inner monologue you should watch a quick yt vid to fix it.

A quick tip to read much faster is to use a ruler to not strain your eyes too much resulting in a much quicker pace.

bad if you want to read fast. But if it's a book with lots of dialogue, you need to hear the voices to get the full experience of the book.
