It’s saveable Once you’re done with puberty, DHT is basically useless. Side effects can be reduced by using topical finasteride instead of oral. You won’t see much regrowth without minoxidil, so you always pair it with that.

Answering your question: minoxidil can slow thinning and regrow some hair, but without something that blocks DHT, hair loss usually keeps progressing which is why finasteride is essential.
