HOW CAN I STRAIGHTEN LOWER ARCH?

These are my teeth, quite fucked. Dentist recommended extractions to make this happen since its very crowded is there any other option? I hear extractions= recession.

really? mine area quite bad i though, and i wanted to straighten them incase i wver had to bimax for my bite
