like here people knew he's short even tho his height wasn't mentioned what gives the impression that he's short?

Maybe his head is half of his arm wingspan

Or maybe it's just the subconcious comparison with the objects in the room

Or perhaps because he moves his feet and arms too quickly suggesting he doesn't have to make longer movements

Maybe even the combination of all of those. In any way it's pure instinct at first.

Always look at doors. You can see he doesn't even reach close to the upper doorframe.

Also, he's 40kg and doesn't look as if he's severely anorexic. That means he's probably on the shorter side.
