How come other people don’t remember exact years?

Like for me, I split things up in my memory based on years. So if someone tells me a memory of theirs and goes “remember that?” I’ll be like “oh yeah, that was June 2014” and they always get shocked. It’s like they don’t remember their pasts that much or something

Every time I remember something I remember the exact year and month it happened.
