No, it happens in real life too...It happened to me something similar, a popular girl came once in college class, she started to go around hug and kiss people on the cheek, I waited my turn and when she saw me her smile vanished and she was like: "Ohh.....I forgot about you...Umm....yeah, sure come here..." then she gave me a quick mercy kiss on the cheek, it felt awkward and condescending.
