Some languages say “the god”

Muslims and Arab Christian’s say “Allah” which means the god.

Ho Theos is what the Greeks call god and that means “The God”

In English though devil can refer to a demon. The Devil refers to the BIG BAD GUY HIMSELF. That’s why

It always made sense to me. Any evil wrongdoer on the street can be called a "devil", but in order to specify that you're referring to Satan, you'd need 'the devil'

But there's only one God. That title alone belongs to him because he is one of only.

why do we say “the kitchen” and “the bathroom” but we never say “the bedroom” we just say “my room”
