How cooked are my genetics ?

I am just starting going to the gym consistently and would like some advice on if my genetics are really bad and what I should primarily focus on. I don't wanna bulk too much. My goal is to just put on a few kilos of muscle and slim down around my belly / hips and just get more of a V-taper.

They aren’t horrible. Just average. Wide hips can seem bad tho. Try and build ur obliques

Honestly it's hard to determine if you have good or bad genetics with that level of fat. I'm not calling you fat or anything like that, just that the level of fat you have doesn't exhibit the shapes of muscle and what is precisely bone or not. I recommend you lose weight and ask again if your genetics are good or bad.

So I should cut ? My problem is the classic skinny fat. Besides my belly and hips I don't have any other spots where I'm fat. I'm 185 and weigh like 73kg

Yes, you should cut, a month is probably enough, if you are 185 and weigh 73, at 60 kilos you should have a pretty good fat percentage to determine your genetics.

V taper is an easy build to achieve if you put in work. Look for some good back exercises with the goal of hypertrophy. Go into a calorie deficit to slim your build down.

Nah, it's easy to lose 10 kilos in a month. Someone of your size to be anorexic should weigh 50 kilos, Jordan Barret weighs 55 kilos and is 188 cm tall.

I am 183 cm tall and in this picture I weighed 56 kilos.

Well for the same weight as Jordan u look much better physically. How do u suggest I do cardio and how often ? I also don't own an Apple watch so IDK how to track the calories I'm burning.

This is easy, find a metabolic calculator, work out your basal metabolic rate (how many calories you need to survive as a sedentary person) and subtract 200 calories from that. This figure is the basis for what you should consume on a daily basis.

Weigh each food you eat and see how many calories it has, and add that to the rest you are going to eat. It should also be noted that this 'diet' will cause you to lose weight if, or if you do not exercise, you eat less than you need to survive, so your body starts to eat the fat you have stored.

What exercise does is speed up the process, I recommend you do anaerobic exercises of any kind, the point is to lose fat, you will not gain or form to much muscle.

Literally, if you follow this diet and do a 30 minute section of youtube, you will lose about 1 kilo a day. It is important to consider that, this is what I did, I did not suffer any health problems (When I say that I had no health problems, I mean that after going to the doctor, having blood and urine tests done, they found no problems. In fact I was quite healthy), however you must consider that I did not take into account the issue of macronutrients needed, because I did not take them into account when I carried it out, the only thing I took into account was to try to not consume as little as possible of sugar, carbohydrates, and try to consume plenty of water, protein and do intermittent fasting.​

Say I did my usual day at the gym. After the session I do cardio for 30 minutes ( prolly on a bike ). From what I understand, Jeff Nippard says I will not lose my muscle gains from the session but the cardio will still do its purpose in helping me lose fat. So I will still be able to build muscle and lose fat. Am I getting it right ?

This is feasible when doing recomposition, which is different from what I am proposing. With the diet I'm telling you, you will lose muscle, but you will lose more fat.

Building muscle mass, is time consuming, good look at the gym for the next 2 years.
 
Frankly, below average genes for body. Brutal hips, flat chest, puffy nipples.

Start by eating in a calorie deficit with high protein while lifting and as an untrained you should lose fat and build muscle simultaneously. After a while, once body fat is down, start eating at maintenance or a slight surplus.

Your body will look entirely different in 6 months.
