You need to understand yourself before anything else.
You also need to make peace with your circumstances. I'm not saying to passively accept them, but to no longer hate them. The circumstances you face are ones created by humanity, which you are a part of. Just as we get to enjoy the pleasure and comfort created by humanity, we have to suffer from the problems humanity created.
Not to be preachy there. But it's just a realization that gave me some peace of mind.
All you can really do is live your own life.
