So how do I beat laziness and procrastination?
I sit around all day and do nothing.
I could study now and make it easier during the exam season, and instead of doing it, I keep laying in my bed and watching youtube, because It's more comfortable I guess?
I feel like I'm wasting precious time, I know I am.

You aren't going to beat laziness or procrastination, so stop thinking about it that way.

What you need to do is arrange things so that it is more uncomfortable, more painful and takes more effort to sit around and do nothing than to actually do things. Positive punishment is your friend.

Nootropics, roids and also thyroid.

Realistically if you have to ask you will never beat it. If it is such a problem for you then it will always be holding you back.

You would if other things were important enough to you. But it's hard to grasp the concept of delayed reward when you can just sit in front of your PC and watch whatever you want

Which nootropics? I doubt they are safe for 18-year-olds.

I don't.
Dont take anything if you are mentally healthy
Unless you have diagnosed clinical depression or shizocel then experiment with things that might help

by realizing none of this has anything to do with 'laziness'

It's a normie/jew cope. I know many people that are considered 'lazy' by society, but will grind 14+ hours a day in dungeon on world of warcraft or other videogames. Hardly anything a 'lazy' person would do.

So why are people lazy when it comes to school

you are only lazy if the thing you do doesn't appeal to you tbh.

It's because you're a self destructive

Its boring and pointless. The only way to beat it is to convince your brain and put in short term rewards to have the drive to finish stuff.

This. I would grind video games for hours but too lazy to do homework.

Get some pussy and don’t worry about school. If your IQ is high enough you’ll still be successful. Grades are cope. People who get good grades and go to good colleges believe that there are 72 genders and that girls only care about personality.

Take it from me, someone who goes to a good school with idiots who think this way.

Because it is unrewarding to be productive/competitive when it comes to school in most cases. Most of schoolwork is about spending/wasting x amount of hours. Not about finishing a certain task the quickest/best way and being rewarded for it. Because task in itself and the work you do for it is considered worthless.

yeah pretty much, honestly it's mostly about dependance and appeal to one's self.

everyone is lazy to go to school and work but they know they are dependant on it for a good life, what is best is trying to make a living with what is your interested in. let's say you are a dude that is good with drawing you can try to make a living off of it like being a logo designer etc.or guiding yourself towards a career where you can put your interests to monetize. it's literally water is wet i know but people nowadays are so stuck up on social media and stuff they can't think straight due to all the distractions, minds are so cluttered.

even if it's not your interest, if you get really good at something and have the vision people will pay you good money, you can be a janitor, but due to comfort zone everyone is just settled with that instead of looking for ways to grow this into a business more scalable like starting your own cleaning company..like i said if your really good at whatever you do and have a vision, you will cash out eventually.

but people are so used to instant gratification now, why bother with how to learn about taxes when you start a company when you can just binge on youtube you know? everybody wants everything now immediately, not willing to put in the grind.

im venting here but im a weak motherfucker too ngl, trying to change things, hope we all make necessary changes to our lives and succeed honestly, i love seeing people grow.

Exactly. The top 1% of virtually every profession make a ton of money. No reason to force yourself to do something you don't want to do. Even if you try and studymaxx for a degree, you're not going to get a job if you're not qualified and if you do, you'll burn out anyways.

If you have ADHD, you'll find that learning the theory of something is extremely difficult because it's not hands-on.

You should ask yourself whether your procrastination is voluntary or not, because if you're not doing it on purpose and you just can't focus and nootropics don't help you, then you should drop out of college and go into the trades because that is hands-on. In my case, I have an alternative, I don't have to go to college, I can do a 3 year career program in computer programming in pre university, which will give me a job as a computer programmer at the end of it and the skills I need to start my career.

Try to find something like that in a field of study that interests you and is guaranteed to give you a job at the end, and you'll find that since your goal will be more clear, you'll be motivated enough to put in the work and succeed.

It's not enough to force yourself to do something hard, you need a reason behind why you're doing it, and that reason has to be powerful enough to cause you to put in 100% of your effort into it. If you don't have a good reason for doing something difficult, you'll eventually give up. Finding the reasons why you want something is how you can rank it up at a higher level of priority and actually achieve things instead of wasting your time, that is how you get motivation from within. If you have to rely on other people for motivation, you'll never make it, it's that simple. You need not only the effort, but the mindset to motivate you to keep going. Every time I have been able to stay consistent with something difficult over a long period of time, it's because I had the mindset to keep me going, and every time I lost that mindset or stopped believing in it, I ended up giving up, and every time, I regretted it.

Fix your reward system

Force your brain to find being productive appealing stimulate yourself everytime u do something that’s productive

don't coom or eat candy or whatever you enjoy doing until you do smth really basic

like if you want to become an artist say "i'm gonna draw a flower today and i'm not gonna do anything i like doing until i do"

then slowly make the objectives bigger and bigger

make the connection between work + reward instead of just instant gratification that you're probably used to

This. Finish all your work for the week then see a hooker. Positive reinforcement can reshape your brain: Pavlov's Conditioning

This sounds interesting. I'll find a substitute for a hooker though.

It'll be hard to do this, but I'll force myself somehow.
